Day 195: Mosquitos

I wore those socks just twice. I hope it's fine
To toss 'em. Low-cut socks with reinforced
Gray-zones are stitched in red ink. Whether mine
Are washed or not is chancy; lines divorced
From hip-hop sensibilities don't clean
Up nicely. Shower-time is risky, so
I place the socks in sneakers--I don't mean
To hide the evidence, but I don't know
Enough about the laundry legal setup
To challenge my established hamper. Sure,
The blood-brain barrier requires a getup
Unsuitable for dudes, but fuck it--you're
Just barefoot once.  Mosquitos love it when
You first come home; they're dedicated then.
