Day 67: Mere Eloquence

Mere eloquence: a watercourse of words
Both burdened and enriched, the space between
Transfixion and correction where thoughts mean

Precisely fluid things. Thought undergirds
And trifurcates the meme; carved into thirds,
A portion goes to knowledge, where a keen
Assessor waits; one, where reaction's lean
Response invents a stance or takes the herd's;
And sometimes dreaming gets a share. Its bright,
Enfranchised bon vivant commands a vast
Tableau, and molds the third like clay. Alight
With vital sustenance, and burning fast
Throughout unreason's clime, those thirds ignite
Creation: manna for the truths that last.

Ah, breathtaking. Eloquence defined superbly by your skillful hand, becomes all the more so, but my vocabulary lacks the right word for beyond eloquence, at the moment.

Here the process of composition is elevated to an art, yet so richly expressed in a wonder of art itself. Awesome.

"Mere"...an excellent understatement.

Impressive and quite a treat to indulge in perusing over and again. I really enjoyed this. Too good!

And so irresistibly in the Petrarchan too. What delicious morsel!

La, times like this I envy you!
