Implausibly put down as 'Appol Pottage'
On every government form, the civic Pottage
Excels at lines: Poster, Posthumus, Pottage,
The speaker drones, and Appol blurts, "That's 'Pottage',
As in the Bible," pulls a number, then
Returns to standing at the terminus.
The punctual Appol takes his scrubs at ten,
His pills at twelve, then boards the corporate bus
At one. He's on for 'Imaging'; the course
Remains a must, the constant metro banners
Instruct, and Pottage posts with rare remorse.
"I've got this mole," he mouthes. Denied; the scanners
Approximate. One rib is imaged twice
By fault, but Appol's documents suffice.

How on earth did you excuse the first quatrain not varying appropriately the end-rhymes??? I was stunned. What phase of the ongoing experimentation is this?
It totally eludes me. Intriguing, as if alluding to Jacob and Esau's pivotal moment in apparently setting the pre-ordained course of history, that simple dish Esau couldn't live without sealing his subsequent fate.
La, care to explain the interesting story that unfolds? Curious with excellent imagery, seems to my ignorance.
