Day 126: Trans-Mumeishi Man

It used to be Mumeishi took long showers --
He takes 'em infinite, eliding time
And space for years, almighty-rinsing hours
Into smaller spaces. Centuries of grime
Wink by, compressed into a cramped event
Of no import; Mumeishi studies it
For ten or twenty million years, intent
On soaking in the spot's nirvanas. Split
Across split ends, the soap-event horizon
Big bangs a bit -- and presto, here's a trans-
Mumeishi Man. The water starts to wizen
Immortal skin; he feels it in his hands
At first, and then his toes, and plum forgets
His corpus, post-VR and pre-regrets.
