Day 131: Anti-Midases

Just hold your breath, and take a gander at
The local neighborhood. You'll have to have
Good aim, and know the rules: the rat-a-tat
Means "duck," the empty window sill means half

Your goose is cooked, and "don't paint friendlies" means...
You'll get it when it happens. Near the base-
Camp, anti-Midases pick through the "greens" --
Our fresh-fatigued goldbrickers. Just in case

You see one, checks your six -- seems everything
They touch turns into lead, and then they shrink
To dots, black dots on sand, until the spring
And its fecundity sets 'em in sync

With Western calendars.  It's cool, 'cause we go,
"I knew some dots in little league, amigo."
