This poem is gluten-free, but was produced
By poets whose facilities contain
Tree nuts, milk and eggs, sonnets, rhymes reduced
To couplets; best to read the warning, strain
Your eyes to scan the little words, and read
The label twice. Of course, a sonnet has
No wheat, nor vital germ, nor grain nor seed
To trigger a reaction. All that jazz
About "It's Gluten Free!" is just a bit
Of marketing, a scam to pitch the rhyme,
Reminding poem-consumers: this is it,
Just fourteen lines and meter keeping time,
No additives, preservatives, nor M
SG, nor man-made rhyming to condemn.
